Every day we cover stories that involved racism.  It’s usually that insidious brand of bias called institutional racism.   We talk about bias and police shootings to ad nauseam, and it exhausts us to write them just as it exhausts you to read about it.  However, we would be remiss to live in America and not tell the story of American truth.

We are usually caught up in the major atrocities and don’t talk a lot about day to day wrongs that people of color suffer.  I recently had a problem with the function of my website.  You see, my site became unstable due to infiltration or a vulnerability.  Two days later it completely crashed, I called my server hosting company to request a data restore.  A data restoration is akin to when you have computer trouble and you set your machine to an earlier time.

The citizens of Chicago sent a clear message to State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez.   The Laquan McDonald police shooting case caused activists to protest the handling of the case by the Cook County State’s Attorney.   Unarmed McDonald was shot 16 times by Chicago Police in late 2014.

Dash cam video of the shooting wasn’t released for more than a year after a judge ordered it.  Alvarez on the same day of the release announced murder charges against Officer Jason Van Dyke, the officer who shot the man who posed no threat.  Many saw Alvarez’s actions as a corrupt attempt to cover up a murder.

On Wednesday Alvarez conceded the Democratic nomination to challenger Kim Foxx.

News site Breitbart, the right-wing digital rag is losing writers by the bunches accusing the organization of being a shill for the Republican front runner.

Writer Michelle Fields said she was motivated to leave the sully organization and said,  "When this happened, my Washington editor, Matthew Boyle, was telling me, 'Oh, don't worry, this is going to be great, because Donald Trump is going to give us so many exclusives now because they’re going to feel like they have to do it because of what they did.’ This is how my company was looking at this. Instead of saying, 'Wow! What happened? Are you OK? Let's defend you,’ they were thinking that this was a good thing because we would get more access to Donald Trump."

On Thursday in St. Louis, Missouri, a protestor at the republican presidential front runner campaign rally was sucker punched by an elderly man inside the venue.

During that rally at least 31 people were arrested, nearly all protesters.  Remember it was a St. Louis suburb where unarmed teen Michael Brown was shot down in the streets by a white police officer.  The shooting sparked international outrage, and the white officer walked away unpunished.

One day later after the punch hear around the world, a rally scheduled for Chicago was cancelled believing when Chicago Blacks saw the sucker punch, the people of Chicagoland would respond differently to the raucous crowd.

DNC Chair Wasserman-Schultz Political Strumpet

Wasserman Schultz, Florida, Racism, Democratic Whore, Strumpet

Scribe: Lucy Osbourne

As time moves on the demarcation between democratic and republican political candidates become more thinly veiled.  Florida’s Debbie Wasserman Schultz is fighting to allow predatory payday loans to stay in place, blocking proposed regulations for the scandalous lenders.

The question being asked is why is Wasserman-Shultz joining the ranks of republican politicians in putting her stilettos on the heads of her more impoverished constituents which she claims to represent.  As the old idiom goes when you want to make since of a political move, simply follow the money.

If we follow the money we find Schultz and others are allowing themselves to be political strumpets for the lucrative payday loan industry.   The industry charges the average client 390 percent interest on short term loans.

Presidential hopeful Senator Bernie Sander’s message in Flint, Michigan las weekend did not fall on deaf ears.  Sanders upset Hillary Clinton in a surprising turn of events and a screen of opposition between Clinton and her party’s nomination.

While Sanders didn’t diminish Clinton’s overall gains, his push in Michigan offers hope in the states of Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin.  He was expected to do poorly in the southern states but is hoping his face and message are more accepted in the northern states.
