She will not be bullied by anyone!

Sen. Kamala Harris decided to forgo the usual exploratory part of a campaign and decided to get right in it. She announced a run for president of the United States, and yes she has a reputation for being tough.

Fresh off a book tour Harris is on the TV circuit Monday morning making the announcement of her bid for the top office. Justice. Decency. Equality. Freedom. Democracy are words that have become her calling cry. The Oakland native is the first African American woman to make the announcement for the coveted position.

Both Kristen Gillibrand of New York and Elizabeth Warren have launched exploratory committees for the 2020 run.

Mitt Romney published a scathing article on New Year’s Day that says, “Trump has not risen to the mantle of presidency.”  Nothing new about this sentiment for the average American, but from a traditional top shelf leader of the Republican Party makes it different by not unprecedented.

Its common knowledge that Trump was not the newly elected Republican Senator from Utah’s pick for the highest office in the land.  Romney is setting the stage and will be sworn into the US Senate on Thursday.

He expanded on his idea of what the office of president should be by saying, “To a great degree, a presidency shapes the public character of the nation.”

Later in the piece he said Trump has “caused dismay around the world.”

Is the state of Florida changing colors?  The story from Tuesday’s primaries comes from the southern state where Bernie Sanders endorsed Democrat Andrew Gillum won his party’s nomination for governor.

Some media pundits believe this is part of the new anti-Trump wave, but most politicians are not mentioning the sitting president’s name.   The surprise victory of the Democratic nomination for governor of Florida set up a race between proletarians vs. privileged whites.

The race represents the potential for the first black governor of the state of Florida.

Texas officer has received a guilty verdict for killing unarmed black teen leaving a house party last year, Jordan Edwards.  15-year-old Edwards, was traveling with three other teens when Roy Oliver of the Balch Springs Police Department fired into the moving car striking Edwards who was sitting in the front passenger seat.

The disgraced officer said that he opened fire after seeing the vehicle move toward his partner.  He claims he thought his partner was in danger—his partner flat denied feeling any fear from the vehicle, he said he never felt the need to pull his weapon.

According to reports prosecutors said Oliver was out of control and looking for a reason to kill and the shooting was unreasonable.  Due to the unbalanced number of unarmed black shootings this shooting launched the small time into a race discussion.

N. Tru Bass: Ignored Sins of a Father

Ignored Sins of a Father

We are all a sum of our decisions.  The United States of America is no exception.   The simple ones have adopted a mantra, Make America great Again, and has sold millions of hats bolstering an empire in a way the architect himself believed was impossible.

I am disturbed, as I travel around the country and I don’t see the concern for the wellbeing of African Americans that should be present in a country built by Black folk both physically and financially.   Black people have been trained to believe there is nothing here for them.  They have been taught to believe they must suffer now to enjoy freedom and happiness in the hereafter.   I’m not here to be divisive, but here to speak truth to a population of proletariats who contribute everyday but remain in the same place generation after generation.  I am a person, a proud Black person and I enjoy being black and I’m very proud of being black and its high time that I speak truth to the people.

The United States is comprised of more than 3.8 million square miles of territory and over 325 million people. All told its the third or fourth largest country by total land area and the third most populous country.

Its been 241 years, 10 months, and 25 days since this country became a republic. The financial independence of the country came directly from the backs of the only people who did not arrive in the western hemisphere seeking a better life, but were kidnapped and enslaved -- creating the wealthiest country in the world and realizing this feat faster than any kingdom in recorded history.

Net Neutrality

American Law Makers have Given away the Farm

Today 11 June 2018, Net Neutrality Ended. To make clear what that means, here is a definition of the words.

net neu·tral·i·ty

noun

noun: net neutrality; noun: network neutrality

the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites.

In a more practical or should I say practicable way, this means the news organizations are leveraged by the Trump administration and will now have to march to the beat of a different drummer. Have you ever seen the Matrix trilogy? This is the beginning of the underground welcome to the real world.

Edwards is listed as an executive assistant and office manager and the Department of Devense and as a police officer for Defense Intelligence Agency previously.
