The message came on Sunday when the sitting U.S. president retweeted a moving image of a golf ball hitting Hillary Clinton in the head a knocking her down.  It was a retweet from a user named, “Fuctupmind.”   The horror specialist, took the information as a play on words opportunity.

The Federal program called DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program for immigrant youth has been under attack since 5 September when the current administration decided to dump the program to save a few bucks.

For more than 800,000 Americans this dumping of a federal program will be a difference maker.  In the summer of 2012 the Obama administration enacted the program for youth who arrived on these shores prior to the age of 16, offering them a solid footing as new Americans.   It offers eligibility for a work permit and deferred action from deportation

The program shows that DACA increased the wages and labor force participation of eligible immigrants.  Other reports suggest DACA reduced the number of unauthorized immigrant households living in poverty.

Significance of Michael Bennett's Arrest--Police Reform

Significance of Michael Bennett's Arrest

Scribe:  N. Tru Bass

Op/Ed

Michael Bennett was stopped and arrested by the Las Vegas police on 26 August 2017.  He was thrown on his face and roughed up after attending “The Money Fight.”

Here is what’s interesting, Bennett was one of the first professional athletes to step out and support the efforts of Colin Kaepernick to bring attention to armed police officers killing unarmed African Americans without redress.

Every justice loving American cringed in 1992, when Rodney King is beaten and the crime was caught luckily on video tape.  The same group, especially Black folk, were gut sickened when the verdict was read and the officers were found not responsible for their actions.
