The Yankees closed their season on Thursday night.  Despite a 5-1 victory against the ALE champion Red Sox, the Yanks end at 83-76 for the 3016 season.   The New York team was pushed out of the post season even though they won the Orioles bet the Blue Jays, 4-0, pushing them out of contention.

According to reports, Manager Joe Giradi of the Yankees said the clubhouse was probably as quiet as he has ever seen after a win.

David Ortiz is believed to have played his final game against the Yankees.  The New York crowd cheered as Ortiz walked off the field, an experience the designated hitter has never had.

The New York Yankees World Series hopes are done.

Zab Judah could be facing the end of his career as yet another fight has been cancelled in the last six months.  The five time world champion was placed on immediate suspension by the Nevada State Athletic commission, reportedly, for providing the commission with false information.

CBS was poised to launch the ‘Knockout Night at the D’ series headlining Judah vs Josh Torres.  Zab Judah and promoter Roy Englebrecht were placed on a ten day suspension after a hiccup with paperwork believed to be something to do with court ordered child support, although it has not been confirmed.

Boxing officials are not talking about the incident due to pending litigation.
