The Essence festival in New Orleans on Saturday was a good place to be for democratic presidential hopefuls, Michigan Senator Elizabeth Warren and California Senator Kamala Harris.

Both lawmakers used the occasion to launch plans concerning black wealth and leveling the playing field for disenfranchised in America.

Harris announced a plan that would offer $100 billion to assist with redlining and to increase the number of Black families owning homes.   The money would help cover down payments and closing costs for up to four million families or individuals, providing home buyers with up to $25,000 per family.

She also called for tougher laws against housing discrimination.  She also touched on credit reports and suggested, Rent, utilities and phone bills should be calculated in credit reporting to increase minority scores.

Bonehead Kanye West apologize for Slave Comment

Bonehead Kanye West

Kanye West finally apologized for a comment he made earlier this summer saying, "Sounds like a choice."   During a radio interview the 41 year old rapper become emotional while speaking on the subject.  West, "I don't know if I properly apologized for how that slave comment made people feel," he continued, "I want to take this moment right now to say that I'm sorry for hurting, I'm sorry for the one-two effect of the MAGA hat into the slave comment."

West blamed his comments on his newly diagnosed mental illness and having an entourage that didn’t have his best interest in mind.  But, in my opinion, it was a boneheaded comment and he meant it.  You know they say, a drunk man speaks a sober mind.  Would that be the same for a Bi-polar man too?

Pusha T is out of the box strong with his latest offering that landing “Daytona” at the number three slot on the Billboard 200 list. The Bronx rapper authentic hip hopper also dropped 4 songs in the top 100 as he celebrates the release of his first album in 4 years.

Pusha’s previous entries were all calibrations, this is the first time he had three solo songs in the top 100. “Infrared” came in a number 65, If you know you know, no. 73, “What would Meek do?” no. 75 and “The games We Play at no. 100.

Expect the music veteran to gain traction as the album has an easiness to it that makes it fresh with an old school feel. This is certainly not the last that you will hear from this 41 year old.
