Ft Bend Girl Kidnapped

 

 

A 13-year-old Sugar Land-area girl was kidnapped when she was forced into a pickup truck outside her church.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said the girl was at her church in the 2500 block of Eldridge on Dec. 9 when three men in a truck stopped and forced her inside the vehicle.

Teen Shot In West Houston

 

 

A teen was rushed to the Texas Children’s Hospital After being shot at the Little Nell Apartment Homes.  Officials say this shooting happened around 9pm at the apartment complex near Beachnut. 

Police were called after residents heard nearby gunshots, the teen is not believed to live in the complex. 

"Some other suspects, he may have gotten into a confrontation with some other suspects in a white car and that's all we know and then fled the scene," said Sgt.Mark Holbrook with the Houston Police Department told KTRK.

No other description of the suspects was given. Police also say they do not have a motive in the shooting.

The teen is currently listed in critical condition.

West Houston Church Sends A Message

 

Whether it was negative karma, divine intervention or just god-awful luck, a couple of would-be thieves learned a painful lesson while trying to rob a Houston church.

Westway Baptist Church is without power after the unidentified men apparently attempted to steal the building’s main electric cable for its copper and set off an explosion.

Hugo Luna- University of Houston IT Manager Charged with Child Pornography

 

Hugo Luna has been charged with five felony counts of possession of child pornography.  Luna a University of Houston information technology manager has been accused of having child pornography on his computer.

Officials said they discovered thousands of images of child sexual assaults on his personal computer.   The arrest was made on Wednesday as Luna attempted to flee the country. 

Harris County Constables say, Luna admitted to collecting the images, he was booked into the Harris county jail with a $500,000 bond.

Accident: Serious Injuries Friday Morning Katy Freeway

All westbound main lanes of the Katy Freeway were closed for nearly three hours early Friday after a young woman slammed her small sedan into the back of an 18-wheeler.

Houston TranStar reported the crash occurred around 3:50 a.m. near the exit for Barker Cypress.

McAfee's research upheld an October report from RSA, the security wing of IT giant EMC Corp.

Second West Houston Car Lot Shooting In Two Weeks

A salesman at Gillman Honda was shot and carjacked as he left work Monday night, Houston police said.

The crime happened at about 7:40 p.m. in the 10500 block of West Sam Houston Parkway near the Southwest Freeway.

Jingle Bell Run & Walk

 

On Sunday morning downtown Houston, hosted the 29th annual Total Jingle Bell Run and Walk.  Featuring more than 5,000 runners many wearing holiday costumes. 

The event included the kids’ fun run, the 5-mile adult run and the 3-mile single family walk.

Proceeds will benefit the Tellepsen Family YMCA Partners Campaign.
