While Black face a disproportionate degree of opioid restrictions.  In recent news a Georgia medical examiner has been sentenced to serve time in prison for trading opioid prescriptions for sex.  73 year old forensic pathologist Joseph Burton and seven others were indicted on conspiracy charges in February.

Burton wrote prescriptions to women in exchange for sexual favors, and was aware that many of the recipients sold or bartered the prescriptions and pills according to authorities.

Ok this is the best part according to his lawyer said of Burton, "Burton's moral compass has been destroyed by cardiovascular disease."  Can you believe he made this statement?  Dang!  He’s claiming Burton had a stroke in 2010 and the incident damaged his frontal lobe causing moral decay.

This guy owns a forensic pathologist, commonly testifying on complex matters in hundreds of cases, and billed $45,000 per case or $500 an hour for his testimony and services.

Burton has been sentenced to serve 8 years in prison for his part in the series of crimes.
