Torture! Gina Haspel is one of the current White House administrations sweet hearts but has been previously dubbed the “Queen of Torture.” In recent reports the National security officials and a handful of Republican lawmakers are preparing contingency plans if the bottom falls out of the Queens nomination to head the CIA.

Her moniker “The Queen” came from an incident in her 33-year CIA career has raised eyebrows after she oversaw a black site in Thailand in 2002 where reports of inhuman interrogations were conducted. One interrogation that made headlines was the abuse of al Qaeda suspect Abu Zubaydah was waterboarded at least 83 times.

Many onlookers have placed her in the same morality boat of Donal Trump the current embattled president of the United States.

Further questions arose when Former director of National Clandestine Service Jose Rodriguez penned his book. Haspel was his chief of staff and in 2005 CIA tapes of interrogations were destroyed. He wrote that while Haspel prepared and a cable granting permission to destroy sensitive tapes he made the ultimate decision.

Washington believes she will be confirmed, but contingency plans have been put in place. The democrats have begun to circle the wagons and are likely not to vote for the controversial spy.

Haspel marks yet another step down for national politics, proving the rabbit hole is deeper than most Americans initially thought.
