Spring officially began at 12:15 pm on Tuesday yet while southern Connecticut awaits yet another winter storm.

The afternoon will be mild at about 41 degrees with winds from the East around 8 mph. The excitement does not begin until after 11 pm tonight after which a chance of rain, snow and sleet between 11pm and 2am. Southern Connecticut can then expect snow, freezing rain and sleet after 2am.

The temperature will then drop to around 30 with a wind chill between 20 and 25 degrees. Winds are expected to come out of the Northeast at around 11 to 18 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.

Spring will be delayed a few more days as winter stubbornly refuses to leave.
