New York area airports were shutdown for two hours on Monday evening due to computer issues. The airports international travelers were delayed due to US Customs and Border Patrol processing system failed between 7:30=9:30pm and affected La Guardia, Newark and JFK airports.

A similar glitch was reminiscent of an outage early last year on 2 January 2017, which stranded international travelers for four hours as they tried to enter the country. Officials believe the disruption was not an exploited vulnerability.
