Hamden Warming Centers

The City of Hamden has set up warming centers for citizens to better survive the frigid conditions that re expected to persist through 8 January. All Hamden Fire Stations will serve as warming stations during extreme cold conditions. Other locations will be limited to hours of operation, such as Town Libraries, and the Keefe Center on the southern tip of the city.

The Police Department Foyer is available 24 hours daily with the Miller Library is open from 10am to 8pm Monday through Wednesday and 10am to 5pm Thursday through Saturday. On Sunday, the hours are from 1pm-5pm.

Branch Libraries are open from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday.
