FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said, "There's all kinds of things that surprise us in each one of these events. That's the one in this one, and we are not there yet." The organization’s number two guy said the agency has a lot of work to do as it relates to the mass shooting carried out this week in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Investigators have found no criminal record, no penchant for violence or mental illness. Authorities continue to probe the life of the man who killed 59 concertgoers and injured hundreds.

His brother called him a private guy, his longtime girlfriend says she begin to think he sent $100,000 for her to purchase a family home in the Philippines as a way to break up with her.   A man he once met on the small Asian island said that he was introspective and calculating and told of an extensive “gun room” in one of his Nevada homes.

This shooting didn’t mark the first time he rented a room with a view of an outdoor concert.  Two other times cropped up as the investigation continues.  Once in Chicago’s downtown Blackstone Hotel overlooking Grant Park site of Lollapalooza in august and the previous weekend on Las Vegas’ “Life is Beautiful Show.”

ISIL, has claimed responsibility for the shooting, authorities believe the man expected to escape and had future plans to ignite a possible car bomb.  However, news media and law enforcement says there is no evidence or association with any religious groups or organizations.
