Former first land and President Barack Obama are reportedly interested in an Upper East Side apartment in Manhattan.   The new place is across from Charles Schurz Park and overlooks the East River.

The pre-WWII building is quintessential New York City and expected to be in the neighborhood of $10m.  Security and white glove service are selling points in the building that has been home to Gloria Vanderbilt and Alexander Woollcott.  The building has a wood burning fireplace four baths and five bedrooms.  The 15-story building has 47 apartments.

The former first couple purchased an 8,200 square foot mansion in the D.C. area earlier this year.  The Obama’s recently inked a two separate book deals worth an estimated $60 million.
