Eli Manning

The New York football Giants have opened the2016-2017 season with zero wins through four games.  After completing a defensive overhaul two years ago, The Giants are still trying to figure it out.

Falling to 0-4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-23 again deflating the Giants fan base.   Seemingly, the single bright spot is Odell Beckham, Jr. who has been demanding a pay raise. And that raise has fallen on deaf ears.

On paper the Giants appear to be a division leader but in reality is struggling to get a W and at this point are willing to participate on the wheel of fortune to get one.   Big Blue seems to have lost their identity.  Not only are the fans deflated the team is too.

Everyone is looking to find someone to point a finger at which is opposite what a team represents.  However, most of those supposed experts would point fingers at the offensive line.   In my estimaton yo can change every single member of the O-line and you still won’ t have a winning team until you change the quarterback Eli Manning.

Yes, I know that Manning is royalty.  I know that the gritty two time pro bowler, Archie Manning is his father.  And, I also know that the great Peyton is his big brother.  But, Eli is not the man for this franchise at this time.   When you look at Eli’s passing rating, it would suggest he is one of the top players in the league, but he is not, not even close and no one wants to talk about it.

Eli is not ready and will never be ready.  The 36-year-old has had a solid career and has sometimes shown flashes of greatness.   It’s not statistics that lead me to this opinion, Manning’s pace is out of sync with the Giant’s team.  The organization committed to building a team around Manning and they have done that as best as they could.  It’s just not there.

He appears to be a high quality person with a lot of positive assets.

However, Eli Manning is not the guy.
