Over the weekend Rex Tillerson, Secretary of State admitted for the first time that the U.S. had reached out to the North Korean government in the hopes to quash their nuclear program.  Pyongyang immediately denied the request to talk.

Experts say the denial was not because North Korea does not want a more positive relationship with the U.S. but because they are refusing to de nuclearize.  As predicted, the child like response from the White House contradicted what Tillerson said, with Trump insisting talking to North Korea would be a waste of time.  His remarks reminded me of a poster of a protester that I saw this weekend that said, “Don’t blame Trump he has done everything that he can do to lose the Presidency.”

This administration represents a White House of attrition for the American people.
