Three Brothers Diner was ground zero of a dine and dash incident that ended in the apprehension of a felon in possession of a fire arm.

51-year-old, Edward Brown Jr. had dinner around midnight at 12:30 a.m. Hamden police responded to a larceny call according to a police spokesperson. Subsequent investigation revealed Brown Jr. left the diner without paying heading north on Dixwell Avenue, after pursuit ensued he tossed a weapon. Police later found three rounds in his pocket that were then linked to the found weapon.

Brown Jr. is scheduled to be in Meriden Superior Court on 10 Oct. and was held on a $75,000 bond.

Three Brother Diner is located at 1038 Dixwell Ave. on the corner of Dixwell and North St. the locals favorite hang out recently celebrated their 16th anniversary complete with a building face lift.
