Former first lady Michelle Obama in a rare public appearance has lambasted women who voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election.

While wishing the Trump family success she said during the Q&A session of a speech directed to a group at Inbound, a marketing and sales conference in Boston, MA on Wednesday. Results of the election yielded just 54% of women voted for Mrs Clinton, who lost versus 52% of white women voted for the republican candidate for president. After providing statistical information she said, "Well, to me that just says, you don't like your voice. You like the thing you're told to like."

She was clear on her message as she is in the middle of penning a book about her time in the White House and political life. She spoke of the past election in a introspective way while speaking of staying true to her “authentic self.”

During her talk she said, "Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice."

The Obama’s have pulled back from public life but are currently both working on seperate memiors for Penguin Random House.
