Brilliant Chinese scientist are doing the impossible. A team of researchers t Sun Yat-sen University have performed a technique called base editing to correct a single error out of the three billion varants of our genetic code and have called it, “chemical surgery.”

First they create the embryos to remove the disease beta-thalassemia where were not implanted, the team believes the treatment my in the future deal with a range of inherited diseases pre-birth. The process alters the fundamental building blocks of DNA. The four bases of which are adenine, cytosine, guanine and thymine.

Known by the respective letters all instructions for building and running the human body are encoded in combinations of those four bases. Junjiu Huang, one of the researchers said, "We are the first to demonstrate the feasibility of curing genetic disease in human embryos by base editor system."

Some make war, some make life better.
