Usain Bolt retired as the fastest man alive.  He was not just the fastest man alive but he held that position for many years at he pinnacle of his career he ran the fastest 100 m heat ever recorded at 9.89 seconds, he later bettered that time during the World Championship to 9.58.

On Tuesday, Mr. Trump pulled the retired runner into his murky waters via social media.  He said, Even Usain Bolt from Jamaica, one of the greatest runners and athletes of all time, showed RESPECT for our National Anthem!  While Bolt did not respond personally, Team Jamaica had a single and very simple request, “Please leave The Boss out of your politricks.“

Hundreds of people then jumped on the band wagon pushing Trump of the sprinters back.

I’m a former soldier and I want to add, When I went down to the MEPS station in Jackson, MS so many years ago I had no idea what I had gotten myself into.  But after Basic Training and AIT, I became a part of a brotherhood that had agreed and trained to fight for the rights of Americans.  All Americans.

Included in those rights are the right to protest and the right to stand, sit, sh*t, at the playing of the anthem and the worship of the flag.  It is every Americans right to decide and who the hell gives you or anyone else the right to force anyone to stand, cover his heart or anything that goes along with these mock symbols of flag and country worship.

Many of us volunteered for service, however we live in a country that with enough money and influence you can leapfrog all those brave men who fought for the aforementioned rights, every with heel spurs and even while postponing their education.

Mr. Trump, if you wanted to speak with the voice of a soldier you would have become a warrior just like the rest of us.  I said all that to say, you can’t speak for me or my brothers and sisters in arms so don’t try.   Don’t pretend to protect my honor, it doesn’t need to be protected.  When we could have used your help you were busy with school, and after that you were ineligible for service due to a heel spur those things sir should give you pause when speaking on my or any service member’s behalf.

Don’t Tread on ME.  Or Mr. Bolt.
