Three children have been rescued by Bridgeport police after being found in a roach infested apartment on Saturday. 

A 1-year-old, a six-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, were being mistreated according to a phone call, Police responded to a Kossuth Street apartment and could not get in.  Five people were sitting on the couch smoking weed and officers had to force their way into the apartment.   They found the children half-clad and dirty, there was garbage in the apartment and cockroaches had infested the place. 

Nicole Angel Jones, is being charged with risk of injury to a child possession of marijuana and interfering with police.   Also arrested were Ajiquanqa Allen, 31, Cecil Barnes, 33, Katerina Howard, 25, and 29-year-old Chaz Himes all charged with interfering with police for not answering the door when police knocked. 

Jones is being held on a $100,000 bond, the children was turned over to their father, who is a New York resident.
