Most parents are bit apprehensive about too many people touching and kissing on their newborns and toddlers.  And there is a good reason why.  One woman has reported her 1-year-old has tested positive for the herpes virus and she is free from the virus and does not know who infected her child.

Children under the age of five usually contracts the virus through close contact with someone shedding HSV-1 in the saliva or has an active outbreak.

She noticed the baby began to develop red blisters around his mouth, around the third week in July, doctors suspected the flu or Hand Foot and Mouth Disease as the sores spread.   As the symptoms spread to his neck stomach and hands he tested positive for herpes simplex type 1(HSV).  The virus in infants can result in death.

The child had to be hospitalized for 21-days for treatment and antiviral medication.   Officials believe an uncaring adult kissed the child giving it a lifelong problem.   The mother has gone pubic to offer a warning to others.

Terrible!! Such a shame some people are heartless knowingly spreading these type of things especially to an innocent child!!
