Many people will say racism is at an all-time high and the country has never been more divided.   The ugly hand of white supremacy found its way to a man who is considered to be mutating into the best basketball player who have every played the game.  On Wednesday, a vandal painted a racial slur on the superstar’s gate at his LA mansion.

The home was empty at the time as the Cleveland star prepares for Game 1 of the 2017 NBA Finals, but he did take the time to speak about the incident.

During a press conference he said, “I think back to Emmett Till's mom, actually," he continued,” She had an open casket because she wanted to show the world what her son went through as far as a hate crime and being black in America. ... No matter how much money you have, no matter how famous you are, no matter how many people admire you, being black in America is -- it's tough. And [we’ve] got a long way to go for us as a society and for us as African-Americans, until we feel equal in America."

For generations African Americans have been more surprised when petty racial antics did not happen versus the reality, maybe the next epoch will be different.
