Periods of stress or emotions and grief are normal for all people.  But symptoms of mental illnesses last longer than normal and are often not a reaction to daily events.  The pharos is when symptoms become severe enough to interfere with a person’s ability to perform day-to-day activities, that person should consider getting mental illness help.

In Karachi, India a recent press report disclosed that 50 million people suffer from common mental disorders in Pakistan and just a handful (400) of trained psychiatrists.

Other indications may include depression, anxiety, addictive behaviors, and eating disorders, use of alcohol or recreational drugs all show evidence of imbalance.  A few causes include environmental stressors, inflammatory conditions, and genetics can all lead to one being thrown off a bit.
