Fairfield, Connecticut – Manhattan lawyer Christopher Andrews ,51, was shot down by police Tuesday in his $700,000 Connecticut home after he attacked his wife Kathleen and his three teenaged children.

The Law firm Partner tried to hit his 15-year-old son with a baseball bat, but the teen managed to take it from him.  Police found the rest of the Andrews family around the house with different injuries, including Kathleen being stabbed in the face.

The wounded wife was listed in critical condition at a Bridgeport Hospital and the youngest son was flown to Yale-New Haven Hospital with critical injuries.   For mental health reasons the officer involved in the shooting was also taken to a hospital as a precaution.

“When the first officer arrived on the scene he was immediately confronted by a male suspect who was in possession of a weapon.  The officer discharged his firearm, striking the suspect,” according to a written statement from the Connecticut State Police.

The children aged 12, 13 and 15 years-old were all injured before the fatal shot was fired killing the accomplished attorney.
