If you were in Las Vegas last night and you enjoy the 'sweet science' you certainly saw the war between the Mexican slugger and the quick and nimble Boricuas'.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez picked up his 46th 'W' against the former champion Miguel Cotto. The young redhead boxing rockstar entered with confidence and youthful exuberance. The wild spanish crowd of nearly 12,000, fans in the Mandalay Bay Resort and casino saw alarez(46-1-1) drop heavy hands against his more moble opponent. The Champion faced his only defeat at the hands of the legendary Floyd “Money” Mayweather in the fall of 2013.

Former Middleweight champion Migel Cotto(40-5) said, “I'm very happy, he's a great champion and I have much respect. Now the belt is mine now,” he continued, “This is for all the Mexicans.”

Cotto trained by Freddie Roach work from behind the left jab and seemed comfortable there. In the third round Alvarez decided to overpower the jab and make the fight more aggressive.

When asked if he would fight the WBA, IBF and IBO champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin? He said, “For sure. I'm fighting him...I have no fear.”
