Media giant Tribune Media’s landmark building in downtown Chicago is to be sold.  The move is a result of the modern media shake-up of the print and broadcast sides of the business.

Real Estate President for the company, Murray McQueen said the building’s” unparalleled location and development potential” make it an enticing opportunity.  Eastdil Secured has been hired to investigate a deal or discover a partnership to help redevelop Tribune Tower.

In 2008, Tribune announced it had requested real estate firms to explore “strategic options for maximizing the value” of Tribune Tower.  The historic building at 435 North Michigan Avenue is adorned with more than 150 stones from different notable buildings and locations such as the Coliseum, the Taj Mahal, and the Cave of the Nativity in Bethlehem as well as steel from the fallen World Trade Center.
