Porn star diagnosed with HIV speak out at recent conference.

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has long pushed for the porn industry to require actors to use condoms while on set.  Porn actor Cameron Bay joined the porn industry three months prior to learning she was HIV-positive.  A previous test on 27 July returned a negative result and Bay attributes her infection to a 31 July film shoot.

During that shoot, bay said an actor developed a cut on his penis, but the film company continued to shoot the film.

Currently, the industry requires porn actors be tested every 28 days and that rule has been revised to require testing every 14 days for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.

Bay has joined a coalition to require condoms be worn during filming of sexual acts in the creation of porn.
