Tommy Morrison, former WBO heavyweight boxing champion and actor who starred in the “Rocky V” film, died at the age of 44.

Morrison won the World Boxing Organization heavyweight title in 1993, after defeating an aged George Foreman.  He played the character Tommy “Machine” Gunn in the Rocky film made in 1990, one installment of the popular Rocky films developed by actor Sylvester Stallone, who played the lead in the series of movies.
