After 9-11, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was formed.  They have been stockpiling over a billion bullets.  This has led to a shortage of bullets for you and I to purchase.  Plus the price of ammo is going through the roof.  Next they purchased 7,000 semiautomatic weapons.  It has been calculated that the DHS now has enough guns and ammo to fight a 24 year war.

The Department of Homeland Security’s newest purchase is even more disturbing.  The DHS recently proudly announced the purchase of 2717 Mine Resistant Armored Protection (MRAP) vehicles.  These vehicles are mine and ambush resistant with bulletproof glass.  These MRAP come equipped with gun ports designed for .50-caliber weapons.

Question we all need to be asking ourselves is why?

In a speech made by President Barack Obama in July 2, 2008 in Colorado Spring he said, "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Judge Andrew Napolitano probably said it best, "The historical reality of the Second Amendment's protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants, and it protects the right to shoot at them effectively, with the same instruments they would use upon us."

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country” Adolf Hitler, 1942.

Regardless of how you feel about you and your family personally owning a gun, take the time to educate yourself on the history and long term effects of gun control laws. Historically speaking, each and every time a country passed gun control laws which limited its citizens ownership of guns for personal protection, the democracy was always replaced with a dictatorship.
