It’s back, the norovirus strikes again, and again it strikes a cruise ship.  108 people aboard the Royal Caribbean ship, the Vision of the Seas fell ill and had to be quarantined.

The over 900 foot ship left Port Everglades, FL on February 25 on an 11 day cruise to the caribbean islands of Aruba, Grenada and Barbados.

The new strain of the norovirus was first detected in Australia, more than a year ago and has since affected about a million people.  The virus is highly contagious, being spread through food, water and air.

The ship docked at Port Everglades, FL for sanitization and to deboat victims for treatment on Sunday morning.
