Former football great Vince Young is rumored to be struggling financially and suing his former lawyer and financial advisor.

In just a half dozen years Young as apparently gone from football star to unemployed.  It’s a long way to travel for a player who signed his first NFL contract worth about $26 million in for sure money in 2006.  He was selected by Tennessee and was the third overall pick.

Last month Young was released by the Buffalo Bills, his third NFL team.

According to Young’s lawyers, his former agent, Major Adams, and a North Carolina financial planner, Ronnie Peoples, mismanaged his money, forged his signature and impersonated him in emails and phone calls.

Attorneys on the other side dispute that claim saying, Young squandered his own money,  saying, “This is a person scrambling helplessly and pointing in all directions to blame others to get out of debt.”

Young is suing Adams and Peoples, alleging that they misappropriated $5.5 million.  “They conspired to take Vince’s money, “ Dolezal said.  “It’s that simple.

Vince Young led Texas to a Rose Bowl victory in 2006, and it’s a pitiful situation to see such a young man in this place.
